Idaho Education Tax Credit and other Tax Savings apply

The Idaho Learning Center (ILC) began in 2008 with a handful of students. After a few years of continued growth in numbers and services, the ILC added the Academy. Over 80 students are being impacted in some way by the Idaho Learning Center, and this impact is growing each year. In two years, we have outgrown our current building and we are in need of more space.
Two years ago, the ILC came under the management of Cole Valley Christian Schools (CVCS). The ILC continues to operate under its own name as a separate 501c3 non-profit organization, but this partnership with CVCS has many benefits. One benefit is that donations made to the ILC through CVCS are eligible for the Idaho Education Tax Credit. The Idaho Education Tax Credit allows donors to give over 5 times what they actually spend out of pocket to an approved educational entity, which CVCS is. Because of our relationship, you can donate to CVCS and designate that donation for the ILC. You will receive significant tax benefits, and the ILC will receive the entire designated donation.
The Idaho Learning Center and Academy has an exciting opportunity to purchase a building and property that would significantly enhance our ability to serve families throughout the Treasure Valley who have kids with learning struggles. We have a contract to purchase a 10,300 s.f. building on two acres in Meridian. With this building, we would be able to double the number of students we could serve in the Academy and have enough space for a headquarters for ILC Services. The two acres provides ample parking, great traffic flow, space for a sizeable playground, and a grass area for kids to play.
We have until March 1, 2015, to raise $200,000 for the down payment with $100,000-$200,000 needed for projected improvements. These funds, would allow us to purchase the building, make up-grades, and still have a lower monthly mortgage than we are now paying in rent for half the space.
